I WISH- IF ONLY
Wish and ‘If only’ are both used to talk about regrets – things that we would like to change either about the past or the present.
Talking about the present
Talking about the present
- If only I didn’t have so much homework I could go to the concert tonight. She has a lot of homework and she can’t go to the concert.
- I wish you didn’t live so far away.
- I wish I knew what to do.
When we talk about present regrets, both wish and if only are followed by the past simple tense. The past tense emphasises that we are talking about something ‘unreal’.
Talking about the past
Talking about the past
- I wish I’d studied harder when I was at school. He didn’t study harder when he was at school.
- I wish I hadn’t eaten all that chocolate. I feel sick.
- If only I’d known you were coming.
Both wish and if only are followed by the past perfect tense when we talk about past regrets.
Wish/if only and would
We use wish + would to talk about something in the present that we would like to change – usually something that we find annoying.
Wish/if only and would
We use wish + would to talk about something in the present that we would like to change – usually something that we find annoying.
- I wish you wouldn’t borrow my clothes without asking.
- I wish it would rain. The garden really needs some water.
- I wish you’d give up smoking. it’s really bad for you.
NB We can only use wish + would to talk about things we can’t change

Unit 6- Must, mustn't, needn't
You MUST do something = it is necessary that you do it....
- example: Don't tell anybody what I said. You MUST keep it as a secret
- example: It's essential that nobody hears us. We MUSTN'T make any noise
- example:We've got plenty of time. We NEEDN'T to hurry (it is not necessary to hurry)
Notes:
instead of NEEDN'T you can use DON'T /DOESN'T NEED TO
Remember that you can say : don't need to do but needn't do
Now compare this: needn't (do) and needn't have (done)
examples:
a) That shirt isn't dirty. You needn't wash it!
b) Why did you wash that shirt? it wasn't dirty. You needn't have washed it!

You HAVE to See the Hilarious Thing One Woman Is Doing on Her Runs
This might be the most entertaining form of fitspiration yet.
Training for a race, or even just logging some miles to stay fit, can definitely be challenging. Between actually getting yourself to hit the road and then keeping up the pace without calling it quits, sometimes you need a little extra motivation to stay on track.
Take Claire Wyckoff of San Francisco, for example. She creatively came up with the idea of using her Nike + exercise tracker to map her runs
While this is clearly silly and hilarious, we have to say: It's also pretty genius. When you give your run or your workout a super-fun end goal—like finishing a work of art—it makes sweating it out way more enjoyable (and much harder to cut short!).
write your thoughts about!
a-do you find it funny and logic or the other way around?
b- do you have any own plan to follow and help you with your goals?
c- are you planning any running sign up or do you have any goal plan for this spring time coming?

Little Holiday Jokes!!!
An old man went to the Doctor complaining that his wife could barely hear. The Doctor suggested a test to find out the extent of the problem.
“Stand far behind her and ask her a question, then slowly move up and see how far away you are when she first responds.”
The old man, excited to finally be working on a solution for the problem, runs home and sees his wife preparing supper.
"Honey” the man Asks standing around 20 feet away “what's for supper?” After receiving no response he tried it again 15 feet away, and again no response. Then again at 10 feet away and again no response. Finally he was 5 feet away
“Honey, what's for supper?”
She replies “For the fourth time it’s lasagna!”
The teacher asked, "What is actually used as a conductor of electricity Little Johnny?"
Little Johnny stammered, "Why...er?"
The teacher smiled and said, "Wire is right. Very good Little Johnny.
Now tell me, what is the unit of electrical power?"
Little Johnny asked, "The what?"
His teacher was very pleased, saying, "That's absolutely correct-- the
Watt!.
"Now, class, you should all take the time to study as diligently as Little Johnny does."

Which is correct?
"He is intelligent" or " he is intelligence"
Let's take a look at the adjective form of nouns.
These words will help you build your vocabulary and will, hopefully, stop you from using the wrong word in the wrong context. It makes your English sound very strange when you use an adjective instead of a noun (or vice-versa).
